What ModerantAI Does

ModerantAI is a content moderation platform. You submit content (text or images) through our API or dashboard, and we use AI to check it against your custom rules. We help you moderate content at scale without manual review of every item.

What Information We Collect

Account Information

We collect information necessary to create and manage your account, including your email address, encrypted password, preferences, and organization membership details.

Content You Submit for Moderation

We store the content you submit for moderation (text, images, and files), along with associated metadata, moderation results, and decisions.

Usage Information

We collect information about how you use the service, including activity logs, authentication credentials, and anonymized website analytics.

How We Use Your Information

We use your data to provide and improve our content moderation service, including account management, processing content, storing results, sending notifications, handling payments, and providing support.

Third-Party Services

OpenRouter (AI Processing)

We send content you submit to OpenRouter's API, which uses Google's Gemini AI model to perform the moderation. Only the content itself is sent, not your account information.

Stripe (Payments)

We use Stripe to process payments and manage subscriptions. Stripe receives your payment information and we store your Stripe customer ID and subscription details.

Webhooks (Notifications)

If you configure webhook notifications (Discord, Slack, or custom webhooks), we'll send moderation results to those endpoints. You control what data is shared through these webhooks.

Data Retention

You control how long we keep your moderated content. Each queue can have a retention period (in days). After that period expires, items are automatically deleted. If you don't set a retention period, items are kept for up to 1 year.

Account information is kept as long as your account is active. Audit logs and state transitions are kept to maintain the integrity of your moderation history.

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption, authentication requirements, access controls, and data isolation between organizations.

Your Rights

You can access, update, and delete your data at any time. For data exports or account deletion, contact us for assistance.

Cookies and Tracking

We use session cookies to keep you logged in.

We use Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics tool, to understand how visitors use our website. No personally identifiable information is collected.

We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

Data Sharing

We don't sell your data. We only share information with service providers necessary to operate the platform (AI processing, payment processing) and webhook endpoints you configure.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and safety.

Children's Privacy

ModerantAI is not intended for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
